wrc event rules

Please read the class rules prior to showing up....Ive made them very clear and thorough so you know where your car will race. Please dont show up and start arguing over the build rules...they are here...they always have been...I know what they are because i wrote them...and they always will be right here. I refuse to change rules based on 1 car. Dont even try.

All cars will go through a tech inspection prior to the start of the event. You will be placed in a group according to your build specs. Any cars caught cheating the class rules will be red flagged for the event....and any acquired points will be removed from the driver from said car. If a martial suspects the car is outside of regulations and flags you for inspection....the driver must immediately pull the body off and bring it to the martial for inspection. Failure to do so will result in a DNF....points will be removed....and the car can not run again until inspection is completed. If the Martial inspects the car and there is no foul play....the driver may carry on and replace his car to the track...keeping all acquired points. If there is foul play....the car will not receive any points for the event....will be removed from the race...and can not compete again until it is fixed. Theres seriously no reason to cheat....it takes all of the fun out of scale spec racing.

Things will be changing for the 2021 season. This year instead of going to dedicated tracks, we will be racing the foot trails at the local parks. This is going to add even more realism to the racing that simply does not exist in other RC Rally groups. The paths will be pre selected by scouts....and they will be divided into multiple stages.

You will be given 10 minutes penalty free to make repairs after each stage....thats 10 minutes EACH....no matter when you finished the round. You will have a MAXIMUM repair time of 15 minutes between stages, and 25 minutes at the halfway point. If your car is not finished. You will get a DNF.

Every second you go over the 10 minute mark will be added to your accumulated race time.

Make sure you have charged batteries, and your car is in full working order. Out in the woods there are no tables or electricity ... These are accommodations that would be impossible to achieve.

In the 2021 season....the Rally car races will be happening alongside the Detroit RC Offroad scale trail runs. This does not mean you need to have a crawler....but you would have more fun if you did!!

Points are aquired 1 at a time. Everybody who comes to race will be given 1 point. Than the winner of each stage will be given 1 point....the overall Rally winner will be given 5 points.

The races are 1 car at a time. Cars line up at the start line....counted down from 3 than go as fast as possible direct to the finishing point where the car will need to remain on the ground until the final car has finished.

Over time limit for repairs...........TBD by timer

Corner cutting.....(4 wheels off) 5 seconds

Hand of God................................10 seconds

These are non negotiable....if the martials call the penalty the penalty will stick. You can yell til your blue in the face....but it will not change.

Which brings us to the next....and MOST important rule of Detroit R. Offroad rally car racing....

Slandering....yelling...racism....causing fights and arguments with people will NOT be tolerated!! You will be banned from racing and will not return. We are not competetive...we are having fun racing our tiny cars....and thats the way its going to stay here in Detroit RCWRC. Please report any problems to myself, or Teddy Smith Jr so we can help resolve any issues you may have....do not turn nothing into something.

And finally....though this isnt a rule and i encourage creativity....we are racing scale rally cars here....we dont require any replicas but would like the cars to fit the bill. Its hard to call it scale rally car racing with muscle cars, exotic sports cars, and super cars. Build what you want....we wont turn you away over a muscle car body....we just ask for the sake of the cameras to keep it realistic.
