WRc/WRX

2021 Class Info for WRC/WRX

This class is intended to be a tightly competitive, and inexpensive AWD Rally class. With restricted motors...it keeps the drivers in the spotlight as they try to beat the competition by thinking 2 turns ahead.

Formerly WRC Group 2, this class became the only group that drivers, and builders, wanted to participate in. So being that it was the dominant class, we've decided to make it the ONLY class in our Rally competitions.

+++The Traxxas 1/10th scale Ford Fiesta does NOT qualify. Its dimensions are in every WAY an 8th scale car....Theres no negotiating this+++

-All cars must be 200mm or 190mm (track width) AWD with standard touring car dimensions. Wheelbase can not be shorter than 237mm and no longer than 261mm. Most 190mm and 200mm cars run a 258mm wheelbase.

-Brushless systems are limited to 21.5 turn sensored or sensorless motors. Any ESC can be run, however no boost or turbo is permitted. All programmable speed controls must be set to Blinky mode. All Motor endbells must be set to 0 degree timing. Only 540 motors are permitted for 21.5 turn brushless.

-Brushed motor systems must use brushed only ESCs. Closed endbell motors ranging between 20 turns and 27turns are allowed for WRC 2 builds. Car can only have 1 motor. Absolutely no open endbell "rebuildable" or prostock motors....if you have such a motor you will not be staged for a race.

-2s 7.4v LiPo or 8.4v NiMh batteries permitted

-No chassis modifications can be made to fit larger batteries, or to shave weight. However....bolt on mods, and upgrade parts and chassis plates are permitted.

-Competitors must run car bodies only.

-Drive systems must be full time AWD belt or shaft.

-Gear or ball differentials, No clickers, Spools and lockers ARE permitted.

-Body height must not expose foam bumpers while car is on ground and driver is looking down from 5ft away.

-Tire regulations are 28mm dirt and gravel and 30mm concrete. ABSOLUTELY NO paddle tires are permitted.

-Once again...this is designed to be a tightly competitive class!! WRC class cars are encouraged to be as detailed as driver sees fit
